If you have a voucher, you can book a time slot on our website. Select a time that works for you, then choose the redemption of gift tickets option (which is free). Just a few clicks, and the confirmation email will arrive in your mailbox! It’s important that your voucher and time slot are only valid for entry if you bring both, so don’t forget them at home!

Yes, you can purchase your tickets here as well. However, if you can, we recommend booking your tickets in advance for a preferred time slot, since during your chosen slot you can skip the line and enter with a much shorter wait time. If you prefer to buy your tickets at the museum, we cannot guarantee immediate entry.

If something came up, you can change your appointment minimum 24 hours before it, by choosing a new time slot on out website. Here, select a new timeframe, then choose the redemption of gift tickets option (which is free). Just a few clicks, and the confirmation email will arrive in your mailbox! It’s important that your new ticket is only valid for entry if you bring both the new and the old voucher, so don’t forget them at home!

The exhibition takes approximately 90 minutes. However, we don’t monitor that closely how much time you spend inside, so if you’d like to fiddle a bit more with our dilemma games, feel free to do so.

The timeframe on your ticket signals the time for entry, not the amount of time you can spend inside. If you don’t make it to the start of your appointment, don’t worry; you can enter out of line throughout the whole hour.

Currently there aren’t any COVID related restrictions in the museum. The museum follows the guidelines set by the government.

Yes, you can. A stroller fits comfortably throughout the place.

You can bring very small children into the museum (entry is free under 5), but kids can best understand and enjoy the illusions starting at elementary school age and up.

The entry to the Museum of Illusions is accessible, so people with disabilities can visit freely, however the use and approach of certain illusions may cause a challenge or be unavailable.

We are in the heart of the city, so you can very easily reach the museum through several ways of public transportation. The museum is located on Bajcsy-Zsilinszky street, under number 3, the entrance opens from the courtyard of the building. We urge all our visitors to use public transportation.

Parking spots on the streets are hard to come by in this part of the city, so if you plan to drive here, it can be difficult to find parking spaces, and the parking fees are quite high.

Taking pictures is not only encouraged, but also highly recommended! Take as many pictures as you can 🙂

It’s not allowed to bring food and drinks into the museum! If you can close and store your food items in a bag, you can take them inside with you; otherwise, you need to leave them outside.

Yes, you can. Make sure your dog is well behaved and leashed before you enter!

You can pay using OTP, MKB and K&H cards at the front register.

Yes, the entry for teachers is free from Monday through Thursday, you just have to show your teacer card at the entrance.

If you lost something in the museum, you can send an email to us to [email protected]; if you have a picture of the item you are searching for feel free to include that. We keep all lost items for 14 days.

Our wardrobe is open during the winter season, however we cannot provide lockers for your bags. We have a limited storing place for luggages next to the front register.
