- What do I need to bring?
If you bought your ticket online, the attachment you recieved in your confirmation email. With student tickets, you will need your valid student ID as well. In case of booked appointments for gift cards, you will need to show your confirmation of the appointment as well as your ticket. You don’t need to print them, it’s enough to have it on your phone.
- Can I buy my ticket there?
If you can, we recommend buying your ticket online, and choosing an appointment that works for you. On weekdays, depending on how many online tickets were sold, you may buy your tickets in the museum, but to avoid standing in line, we advise booking in advance.

- When do I need to arrive?
You can arrive anytime in your chosen time period. In fact, we recommend not arriving for exactly at the start of your appointment, but somewhere along it.
- How much time does it take to visit?
It takes approximately an hour to view everything in the museum. However we aren’t strict with our visit times, so if you want to stay in our playroom, feel free to do so.
- How can I change my appointment?
If something came up, you can change your appointment minimum 24 hours before it, the exact same way you booked it, through the webpage.
- What do I need to know in connection with COVID?
- In the Museum of Illusions according to the government decree we ask our visitors to wear their masks at all times. Your cooperation and understanding is greatly appriciated.
- We do not require vaccination cards for entry, as long as a new government decree doesn’t state otherwise.
- Hand sanitizers are available throughout different points of the museum.
- Can we take a stroller?
Yes, you can. The stroller is not a problem.
- From what age can I take children into the museum?
You can bring very small children into the museum (entry is free under 5), but kids can best understand and enjoy the illusions starting at elementary school age and up.
- Is it worth it for people with disabilities?
The entry to the Museum of Illusions is accessible, so people with disabilities can visit freely, however the use and approach of certain illusions may cause a challenge or be unavailable.
- How can I get to the Museum of Illusions with public transportation?
We are in the heart of the city, so you can very easily reach the museum through several ways of public transportation. The museum is located on Bajcsy-Zsilinszky street, under number 3, the entrance opens from the courtyard of the building. We urge all our visitors to use public transportation.
- Where can I park my car?
Parking on the streets is hard to come by in this part of the city, so if you want to drive here, count on difficulties finding parking space, and expect high parking fees.

- Can I take pictures?
It is not only allowed, but almost mandatory! Take as many pictures, as you can 😉
- Are you open on holidays?

- Can I bring food and drinks into the museum?
It’s not allowed to bring food and drinks into the museum!
- Can I bring my dog?
Yes, you can. Make sure your dog is well behaved and leashed before you enter!
